Mentoring Ethnic Minority Students to Succeed in a White Graduate Program: Don't Get Bucked Off!

Runtime - 48 minutes

Carolyn Barcus, Ph.D. presents at the 2011 Teachers College Annual Winter Roundtable at Columbia University.

This presentation highlights the life journey of the author from her reservation home to her current position of elder and mentor to ethnic minority graduate students. Those who return to serve ethnic minority communities are encouraged to focus on "being" rather than "doing".
